For a long time they looked at the river beneath them, saying nothing, and the river said nothing too, for it felt very quiet and peaceful on this summer afternoon.

Poppy
Black-nosed, brown-eyed, floppy-eared, pink-tongued, tail-waggin' nuisance of a dog.

Wow, she's all grown up. Isn't it funny how your adorable baby pet somehow quickly becomes a huge irritation of an adult/teen pet? My dog is just turning 6 this fall, and she's just starting to be the mellow and sweet dog I wanted. It's been a lot of years of irritating hyperactive dog.
Alice, that's for labs mostly. Is your's a lab too? And Cat how can you be too angry at that face for too long?!? I know our labs were in the teenage puppy stage for 5 or 6 years. Fun but frustrating stuff. Have you done classes with her to teach her better behavior?
LOL, we actually call her a black-nosed, etc. nuisance all the time, but if you heard us saying it....she probably thinks we're telling her she's the best dog in the world. Which she is. She's just an obnoxious pest of a puppy too. ;-)

Awwww, I love the picture!!! She is precious.
Oh no!! I just read the comment above, by Sara, and Is she telling us we really have 5 more years to wait until they calm down?!
Eeek! Five more years? LOL
