I love lavender in the garden. It smells wonderful, it pretty much takes care of itself, and it's beautiful. Last year I posted a picture of my lovely lavender (here). Mom posted a link to directions for making lavender wands. I found another set of directions here. Yesterday, the eldest lovely lady cut the lavender while I weeded the garden, then we sat and wove lavender wands. The wands are simple and lovely. The woven ribbon encloses the lavender, so that you get the fragrant benefits of a bunch of lavender without the little flowers littering the floor. And if you don't have time to make a wand, a bunch tied with satin ribbon is just as pretty.
Simple. Sweet. Heavenly. Life is good.
